Got an art book a couple days ago - gonna try the copy-twice meme. Started drawing the cover to the best of my ability, that way I'll be able to redraw it later and get a "before and after" comparison, but it's quite slow and tedious. I've done a rough sketch of some of the face and hands, but I haven't worked on it in a couple days.

Bit concerned. Not gonna be worth it if I procrastinate the cover forever, and it probably won't even do much for me progression-wise. But as a metric of my progress, it could be really encouraging and might make the difference between me finishing a couple chapters vs finishing the whole book.

also funnily enough i use that same book for anatomy along with brigman and papa vilppu although that chinese book in picrel is becoming a fav of mine too and its sad more people dont mention it

anyway, despite shitposting, i was happy to see the /beg/ anons happy to study and improve but that sentiment is going away quickly as it seems most just like the idea of being able to draw than they like actually drawing and so we got the current state of these threads dedicated to this naoki guys book

its sad because this book actually teaches decent methods in a simple to understand way and people still cant bring themselves to try
