thanks for the tip, I've tried the thing with more blue-ish mountains and it does have an effect. and the dark patches between the tress is something I actually had in it, but all over the place.thanks.

sorry, I have some trouble understanding you. Pushing the green of the trees to a warmer tone, so there is more distance between them and the trees on the hill? and regarding the cooler colour tone, i've no clear idea how to do that; what I tried was to replace the bright spot of the top further down and thus closer the spectator, I gave the top hill some darker green, which seem to me actually warm but quite cool in the image context?
anyway i appreciate your feedback.

I also added some elements, trying to bring in more depth and placed the mountains slightly higher.
