If you look at chibi faces you will see that its just one giant symbol
The "construction" thats shown in how to draw manga shit and step by step shown by mangakas themselves always:
a. changes completly at different angles
b. doest follow any kind of form, just arbitrary lines which themselves need to be placed by feel
c. artist himself doesnt follow his own guidelines
It just seems mangakas invent their own way to draw their characters without any rhyme or reason and the faces change structure at different angles, many times ive watched time lapses of gooks drawing their mango and they all freehand it. Thats why 3d shit cant really replace manga and 3d models of animu characters always look kinda off.
