These look pretty damn good to me.

If your observation is good enough, you don’t have to know perspective to copy his drawings. To apply his teachings to your own studies, yeah, you kinda have to construct reasonably well. But it looks like you can do that. You don’t really need hardcore perspective to construct stuff, just gotta draw boxes and tubes decently. Maybe watch Marshal Vandruff’s perspective course just to brush up. Just keep drawing desu

These look good. A good rule of thumb is that the pubic bone is the halfway point between the feet and the top of the head, and if you’re gonna fuck up, fuck up on the side of making the legs too long rather than too short.

Learning specifically: I did Betty Edwards, DrawABox til lesson 4, Vilppu renaissance figure drawing, a 2 year hiatus (not recommended), then copied Morpho simplified forms, copied Hampton’s book and did his video course. Now I’m doing figure drawings and copying Bridgman, then gonna do dynamic sketching. Haven’t decided who I want to adopt as an art parent yet, but when I do, I’ll also do studies of their art. Step zero for learning how to draw is to learn observation. Until you can draw what you actually see instead of what your brain thinks it sees, you’ll be filtered by everything and you will never be able to learn anything.
