no offense taken. i don't work in the same way as the other anon. i literally just threw that creature in there, focusing on its design and posted it in here to get feedback on the creature, not the image as a whole. look at the tentacles coming out of be back... it's pretty obvious they couldn't/wouldn't stay that way.

pic related is what i started with. once i nail a creature i like i'll handle the surface accordingly.

yeeees this anon gets it. i know... i was worried about that. but the sky would need a bit more character to really fill in as key element... still considering ditching the whole alien creature and trying to paint a super moody cloudscape.
