Ill bite.

In the video he's using the one called hard round brush.
However it's not the same as photoshop's default hard round brush, that's where your problem lies probably.

Download the brush pack from ctrl paint and you'll see his hard round actually has both opacity and flow modifiers from pen pressure (pic related).
