Yeah I feel like I reserve purps for specific kind of feels. Like anxiety about death or soemthing. at least with >>3764767 and >>3769028 and pict related.

Pict related is also one that I would consider "serious." It kind of was the inception point for the wabi sabi (embracing imperfection and impermanence and emptiness or meaninglessness or whatever). It was also the point where I came up with the structure for building the first couple years around lyrics from a Tool song. Like I was already obsessing about misusing black paint and was trying to figure out when I should fucking stop doing that, and then while working on it I accidentally did a brush stroke with the highlights on the bottom left. And idk if the song happened to be playing or if I just thought of it and started playing it, but then I started going bananas with the highlights and kind of whited out a lot of what was otherwise a finished painting. Got all manic with the idea of spending all of the next year ruining paintings with whites.

So your argument is ad hominem? You gonna attack pict related when post nothing? You literally have nothing to show for yourself and you're giving painting advice?

Post a single painting you've ever done in your entire dang life. If you had any experience with that shit you'd pretty quickly learn that your advice wasn't practical and is even kind of self-sabotaging. Having more wet areas on the canvas at once creates more opportunities for fuck ups. Having a ton of colors playing on the palette at the same time creates more opportunities for fuck ups. Doing the background first often makes it harder to the subject without getting skin tones on the background and then having to touch up the background with more paint later. Using a ton of different colors at the same time means you gotta constantly be switching brushes or spending time cleaning brushes. There are so many reasons that when it comes to painting, particularly portraits, that you kind of often SHOULD concentrate on one area at a time. There are a lot of reasons why you don't necessarily want to "develop the entire image slowly over time."

What is happening when something orbits something with more mass in space, is it is constantly falling towards it. We are being pulled by the sun's gravity. You're right that it's not at a rate that really matters, but it's what is happening regardless

and like this one is kind of the inciting point/thesis statement for a few different things. Like I didn't notice I put a white streak on it while it happened, but then once I noticed it it looked like Blue Green was awkwardly looking at it and Red Lawrence was making an anxiety face about it. It was kind of the start of really getting annoying about leaning into the wabi sabi memes and retroactively building out from mistakes and stuff idk.

It was also the same day I thought applying the Lateralus song to building a structure of "periods" or phases or whatever. Like I had been annoyed with the Blue Green and the "using black paint on skin tones" meme and then Purple Headey was like HEY YOU CAN RUIN PAINTINGS WITH WHITE PAINT TOO YA DIMBUS and I was like shit you right.

I embrace my desire to
feel the rhythm, to feel connected
enough to step aside and weep like a widow

With my feet upon the ground I lose myself

I feel the texture of things that I visualize. Think it may be an autism spectrum thing idk. I have savant-tier visualization ability and eidetic memory, but it's not necessarily super reliable or consistent. When it comes to recall I normally first think of key sensations associated with X memory and then from there the memory grows out from there to the point where I kind of just live in my head. Like sometimes it's the air pressure or how someone moved or an expression and then the mind latches onto that and builds out the rest of the memory from that. There's alot of overlap between having a "good memory" and a "vivid imagination" I reckon.

I also think in a dialogue between what I call the stage voice and the rummager voice. My internal stream of consciousness is a constant argument between the primary voice and a stream of conscious "rummager" that is constantly reminding and recalling and metacritically nitpicking and basically just flying around "rummaging" through my mind. Like the stage voice is a person walking their dog on the beach,and the rummager voice is the dog running around back and forth grabbing shit and peeing on things and being hyper. Anyone else relate to that shit at all?
