You kinda fucked it up.
- The background affects the subject and vice versa. What was originally a warm figure next to a cold background is now a cold and desaturated figure next to the saturated yellow. and even though it is a lemon yellow, it is still the warmest thing in the painting now.
- The yellow is also fighting for foreground dominance even though you call it a background because it is warm and saturated.
- Avoid textures unless 100% intended. Paint as flat as possible until you are sure you are never going to make changes because you cant paint over thick paint without retaining the texture.
Its also just less interesting now. Looks like graffiti on a wall now.
