I strive to understand the underlying form, how the light falls and why the composition works by rendering as far as I'm able to. I think I've never done a study just to understand a single aspect of the reference.

I changed the pupils and made the eyes considerably deeper, it has some other minor changes too.

Overall I think(hope) it looks considerably less uncanny than last time
