good on you op. i think everyone should try to do commissions early, its not just drawing thats hard, its dealing with clients that a pain in the ass too. doesn't even matter if you get customers.

i started charging for commissions when i was about 12 even though my art back then was complete and utter ass but /someone/ (usually my friend) was always willing to buy. its not about being 'ready' or not, it's the experience of earning money, completing work on time, maintaining a standard of quality and treating your customers thats incredibly valuable.
