The fold around the shoulder is a giveaway. You are matching the values, but you aren't painting them like you are understanding the shapes in volume.

Those sketches look a lot like some stuff I did a few years ago. I know the feel. Draw-- a lot. Every day, and you'll see a change like night and day

Pay attention to proportion. Look at the size of the feet compared to the head. Look at the amount of space between her waistline and her bent elbow. Look at how far her shoulder sticks out and draw a straight line down to see how it compares to her hips. Doing this type of comparison trains your eye to how to approach an image or form when drawing.
