Every so often I go back and forth on the idea of going to color, but to be honest, I kind of hate it. It's not that I can't, but the time cost is so significant that it makes the process unbearable for me.

At the same time, it's also extremely likely that I just have a shit process for it because I don't do it that often. Still trying to perfect a process of integrating textures and tones to make shading more effective.

But I do recognize that, especially for a western audience, color is preferable. I've always been more partial to monochrome artwork. I think it's because a lot of coloring in western comics is a huge turn off for me. When I get to see the ink pages of artists I like before color they always look way better to me before someone comes along (or the artist themselves) "ruins" it with color.

(Not that I'm saying all color is bad, ie Kill 6 Billion Demons or InCase)
