Right now it's good if not a bit bare so you can add shitloads of more stuff from refs and vary the heights on the buildings and add more buildings and then more filler. The signs should also be set at varying depths into the picture to give the illusion of depth and to prevent it looking too uniform.

Warm colours get cooler in the distance and the white of the signs should probably be greyer if you move it out more. Take the time to skim Gurney's Light and Colour (it's a good book and shouldn't take more than an hour to skim through and make notes from).

Recognise from your reference >>3484345 the pattern that wet road makes and the amount of contrast. You have the same problem that I do which is rendering everything like playdough especially the buildings which I think is a problem that can only be fixed with more env studies. Also like in your ref the streets are pretty narrow. Making them narrow is usually a good idea so you don't need to fill in much stuff, it's unusual to see super wide streets and you'd also need more 3d forms in it to avoid making it look more empty. Also another thing is the height of the buildings is very short relative to the girl so by making the girl smaller and the lady and the other people smaller and the signs higher you will create the illusion that your world is bigger than it actually is, something that Feng mentions a lot in design cinema.

In your painting a lot of one single colour dominates. It feels to me like there needs to be a bit more blue on the upfacing surface of the structures above the doorways and on the road. Adding more colours to the environment can break up the monotony. I think you're also using krenz as a ref so an interesting exercise would be to imagine one of Krenz's skies https://www.artstation.com/krenz instead of one of your own sky in this image and try to figure out what colour everything would be.

It looks good and it feels good, now you will only get better.

You obviously are forced to draw
You are obviously forced to post a study.
You obviously put a lot more work into that study because otherwise the other perp in the argument will buttfug you meaning that you can't be lazy with it like you normally are.
You therefore learn a lot more from it than any regular study AND are forced to draw more. You get better faster.

>I just don't have any ideas
How the hell do you run out of ideas? Draw your waifu/husbando. Failing that, the last anime or book you read. Failing that, the last television show you watched or make someone's day and fill a request on a drawthread on another board. Failing that, I'm sure you can come up with a great original story, I have no end of those and on top of that there are plenty of studies you could do of artists or just working on anything you struggle with. Anything!

I'm sure it's just lack of motivation/burnout and not lack of ideas.

It's literally you doodling at 500% zoomed in for hours on end with a textured brush if you're the 1% of Ruan Jias etc or you copying and pasting photo textures/models and painting over them if you are like 99% of everyone else.

Getting plenty of non shit references will help you tremendously.

But mostly it's a fugload of time

Both pixiv and artstation have a small flaw that I suppose in big cases with photos leaks the artist's location and in SMALL cases lets us identify exactly what the last software the artist used if they aren't using the copy already uploaded it to another website (and therefore had it stripped automatically) or if the software embedded data.

Any art created with CSP has this message:
Software : Celsys Studio Tool

Any art created with PS will identify firstly what operating system PS is running on and the version (so like CC2017 or CS6 etc) and include a history of what other adobe software was used so I saw one guy had used lightroom (revealing the name of the person who originally created the image they used in a photobash) and detailed history of other stuff which appears to be a whole stalker history of when the image was last saved, times opened and document IDs and other stuff I don't understand. For example, I can tell that White Datura is using Adobe Photoshop CS6 (Windows).

Any art created with SAI doesn't appear to leave a message unless it's saved as a jpg in which case it leaves (like on Kawacy and Rei's):
Comment : Paint Tool -SAI- JPEG Encoder v1.00

Size and density does not contribute to the hand drawn feel. The hand drawn feel is because of the texture of the brush and the texture of the paper, eg https://beroleagle.deviantart.com/art/Paint-Tool-SAI-Pencil-Brushes-96742060 you should play with the settings

However most good textured brushes are on PS (find this good for any general purpose textures) or CSP (find this program good for brushes thick at the ends).

I have my stabiliser on at 6 on SAI and 10% smooth on PS.
>Does brush in general size matter significantly?
It only affects brush thiccness

Apply the PainteR crack aka AMTemu or Universal Patcher to all the trials legitimately downloaded off adobe's website. You can update your cracked applications and recrack them via this patch. I'm pretty sure that the keygen method is outdated or requires a lot of work (due to constantly patching and phoning home, I'm sure that adobe doesn't give a shit but having used serials in the past on other software you need to find a new one every time they stop working as well as you essentially informing adobe every time they find that your key is invalid which can't be too healthy)

Dunno about that specific extension but:
Extension signing can be disabled with a specific registry edit https://i.imgur.com/BNaddjR.png (this guy from CGP was on PS 2015)

If you're on CC2018 like me steps 5-6 is how you disable extension signing

Read from good authors to write better. It's not like drawing, you'll write better simply by looking at good authors and figuring out how they do their plots, but unlike art which you can plow through even on a bad day, writing comes in drips and drabs and on a shit day you can create mediocre shit no matter what.

Good call on the wacom botnet but the best way to prevent all applications dialing home is to add stuff to one's hosts file.

Print format only (if it's not a pdf on worldcat it has to be scanned by someone by hand yeah and the only fast way to do it involves cutting the book up and destroying it to stick it in the paper feeder, scanning a book by hand takes at least 4 hours unless you own a book scanner setup that costs about 1000 USD + , if it's not on https://i.imgur.com/u77gErH.png it's not anywhere.)

And you know why that is?
Because for realism = a lot of refs + resources like loomis
For anime girls = a lot of refs + resources like loomis
For sonic = not many refs + people think that they're animals and they don't need human anatomy (and there isn't much animal anatomy out there either.)

>suddendly dont works like a tablet anymore, the cursor respond like a mouse.
Now that you've either fucked up really hard and wasted your own time or your tablet is actually fucked up, do this:

Uninstall the driver. Reinstall the latest driver again. Reboot your computer twice. Open your two art programs eg SAI and Photoshop are the best to diagnose the problems and check the pressure. It should be fixed in BOTH programs.

If it isn't fixed, reopen your wacom settings and post a screenshot of them here. Windows ink being disabled or enabled shouldn't affect your pen pressure as in w10 at least you can get pressure with windows ink on BUT it can slow down your stroke movements.

Normally to fix your pen pressure I do this:
1. Windows key + X
2. Run services.msc
3. Restart the service "Wacom Professional" or whatever your wacom service is named
99% of the time, option 3 will fix the pen presssure without a restarting your computer. If that doesn't work for me, I open up task manager again with windows key + X and scroll down to all these fuckers https://i.imgur.com/5iAv22F.png I end the task on all of them and go back to services.msc and restart the wacom service. On the first wacom service restart it has no effect, on subsequent wacom service restarts it just werks
4. If none of these steps work, it's usually because I either forgot to plug in the tablet or because I fucked up and brushed the very delicate cable port, I unplug and replug the cable from both sides, restart the wacom services and all is fine and dandy.

If none of those steps work, a reboot will fix the problem (no driver uninstalling and reinstalling fuckery, but do it if you really think it's a problem). If that still doesn't work do all this: https://pastebin.com/0zmFVfQ9.. If that still doesn't work you need to buy a new tablet.

You don't need to know so much random anatomy unless you want to major in anatomy and do medicine or want to draw nothing except dissected bodies. Some basic surface anatomy will suffice: as long as you aren't attaching the biceps to the genitalia you should be fine.

My major was in anatomy and I was drawing like shit for the longest while. (Since then I've done a total of four years in anatomy and I have never used much more than >>3257641 and the major muscle groups). If you want to actually learn surface anatomy (which is the stuff you're going to be using - landmarks actually visible on the skin), I recommend making a few flashcards with anki https://apps.ankiweb.net/ and the image occlusion plugin https://ankiweb.net/shared/info/1111933094 and just put labels over everything you want to learn. You can learn about 500 flashcards in one day if you really want to learn it, but I don't think that's necessary, especially because the internet exists and you can always look up something if you want to draw it.
