I get you, I get you. I understand the direction of what the authors are trying to direct at the reader. I come from background which involves computer modelling/graphics, so I'm good at visualizing form. The problem is, that does not translate to actually drawing it. They keep assuming I want to be all "artistic" (pardon the misuse) and can't handle the technical gruff. They are trying to "ease" me in, and I find the hand-holding very off-putting and frankly counter-productive. Days of drawing Loomis' heads hasn't been as beneficial as a few hours of Hampton's construction.
