What reference did you use? Looks like you overestimated the shadow that the hat casts. It should be higher if not matching the shadow of her face, not the neck (since that's being casted by the chin).

Don't forget that hair is made up of "ribbons" of strands. They interact with each other in terms of lighting, so you won't be getting a sharp transition in most cases. Pic related.

It might be the camera messing up the colors, but the hair shadows look a bit too saturated. But I may be wrong.
