Maybe someone wanted to draw something cheesy. That's the style/vibe they were going for. Fair enough.
Maybe it's just inspo, maybe there's just one small bit that catches someone's eye and they can use it for a design.
Could be studies, could even be used as a damn texture overlay for interesting shapes.
