Holy shit wow, just looked him up. I really need to buckle down and read Johns Green Lantern stuff already.

I don't know of any book that gives advice such as that. All I can say is practice practice practice. Tight, detailed line work is hard but you can get there.

Be sure to read Making Comics as well, and check out the various comics he uses as examples. His own comic, Zot, is also pretty nifty.

How To Draw Comics The Marvel Way may seem outdated or too simple, but the explanation in the back about dynamic panels and the example Avengers page of "how a marvel artist does it" is so fucking eye opening.
