Good guess anon, but it's not why I don't like neck cracking and well gymnastics. And I don't suffer from serious nerve or spine damage, I just suffer from ulnar tunnel syndrome.
It's actually something really dumb reason. When I was really young I watched a final destination movie --mind you I don't like scary movies-- and there was a scene where a gymnast fell doing a high bar trick and died. Also I actually did gymnastics before I saw that movie, but quit later on. I didn't suffer any injuries from it however. The worst thing I did during that time was getting a sprain from doing a grand jete.
