Well ok. You also sound like you're looking for shortcuts. Well you could try doing what I recommended. Looking at negative space and alignment of stuff.

Another way to get things right (which is super technical but leads to being able to draw anything from any perspective) is drawing through everything. Break everything down into primitives (box, cylinder ball) and figure out how these primitives deform in 3D space. If you mix this with knowing the proportions from visual memory you'll be a machine. Also try to learn to draw manikins to simplify your shit. Read Scott Robertson's how to draw-book and watch/study this guys videos:

videos:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D0g2MMsvqEM

Also Loomis and a bit of Hogarth for balance and do quick figures and also blah, blah, blah, blah... Everything has already been said a million times here. There isn't a 'single' thing you should be doing but you have to start from somewhere. If you think that measuring and memorization are a dead end to you, you probably don't know how to do either of those things yet so maybe continue doing that. They feel like math to you because you haven't mastered them and neither have I btw but I know it's possible to master them.

If you want to learn to play the guitar you learn a bunch of chords and scales until they've become muscle memory. Then you learn how they can be utilized together (music theory). Then you can really play what ever you want without having to "measure" what you should be doing. That's some Yoda bullshit right there.

I love the guy! I have a hard time retaining information in written form so his videos are extremely helpful to me.

It depends on your definition of "good". I can render pretty well but I'm lacking in all other aspects of art. He's pretty good with perspective, construction and line art but his painting skills are lacking.

I don't need to learn every aspect of art from a single artist. If I want to learn rendering I'll look at tutorials from Dave Rapoza or Brad Rigney for example. If I want to learn landscapes and/or photobashing I'll look at tutorials from guys like Eytan Zana, Maxim Verehin or Maciej Kuciara. If I want to do some lines with energy I might look at Sinix. Realistic anatomy? Proko.

Everybody has something different. To offer. Everybody except Jazza that is. He's a fucking hack.

It doesn't bring me comfort that shit people are getting work. I get much more out of seeing someone be shit, work hard and becoming really good, getting work etc. It's kind of short sighted to compare yourself to people who are as good/worse than you. You won't get anywhere with a mindset like that.

I don't think Lifelds work is good. I hate his stuff actually but comics are all about storytelling and selling an idea instead doing 100% anatomically correct characters. When I was a kid in the early 90's I thought his stuff was totally bad ass. Like "Ooh! Look at all those muscles and chains and spikes and guns!!! SO BAD ASS!". I was the audience and I really enjoyed his work so I don't think his work was a complete failure in that sense.

Obviously now that I'm older and understand some shit about character design, anatomy and a e s t h e t i c s so his stuff looks fucking horrible to me but I'm not going to go out and say that what he achieved in his career was easy. It was right for the time.

There are loads of artists who produce shit work but are extremely successful like "Draw with Jazza" but even he is providing content that has value to a lot of up and coming artists.

Sure man! Just as soon as you turn your image 90 degrees clockwise. Come on. You're making a thread for yourself instead of posting in the draw thread and you couldn't even be arsed to have your image right-side up.
