Dont forget you asked for this.
Basically it's a Pokemon fan film.
Anyone familiar with the franchise is aware that it is first and foremost preoccupied with young adults throwing supernatural creatures at each other until one loses consciousness.
But the question the movie is about - what happens afterwards? There is of course, a wider world the franchise takes place in.
That's what it follows, two of these normal people - well one person and one pokemon, and their relationship even after they settle down.
Because I have some sort of strange mental deficit, the magical animal creature (Who I should stress is the mental equal of a human) is attracted to this extroverted, loudmouthed man, though the social norms of where they live heavily frown upon that kind of thing.
He once mentioned if maybe they were both human things could work out. She took that to heart.
I should mention she is a zoroark, which means she can use illusions to disguise herself as any kind of creature.
Including humans.
So essentially a light-hearted comedic slice of life thing about a man cluelessly dating his closest friend in the world, and her desperately trying to conceal her true identity.
It's also an opportunity for me to play around with the worldbuilding which comes from having humans coexist beside supernatural monster creatures in everyday life, something which the company who created them is unenthusiastic about exploring. Oh, and painting pretty scenery.
So, out of 10, how cringe?
