I'd like to run something past you guys that got shot down in /g/.

First, a brief rundown on how this works and why it's not "going back in the box." Imagine an infinitely replicateable brain, model.ckpt, that can be downloaded in under an hour. It's been trained on a huge dataset, and now even if all the source material disappeared from existence, it doesn't matter for the little brain.
You just plug it into some surprisingly basic math, and you have this image oracle. Leaving out plenty of details of course.

Anyhow, my point is, that this little brain has been trained very clumsily. Not just in the major issue of consent or whatever you want to call it (though it's very likely it's covered by EULA garbage, and the whole "read these 40 pages and click OK" thing has been a festering problem) but also in extremely poor tagging and design. The dataset wasn't meant for this project, after all, it's just stuff humans did.
So my dumb idea, was this alternate little brain, model2.ckpt, which is entirely opt-in and with some kind of compensation structure for those contributing to it. Then ideally, artistics, photographers, etc would give the finger to Dalle2/Midjourney/SD/whoever else who yoinked their shit behind obscure license agreements, and opt-in to providing content for this new little brain that would grow, and be more organized by design.

Further finger-giving in the form of class action wrecking them, and opting out of their platforms and support for anyone who utilizes them.
I'm not aware of compensation structures, but I'm imagining some kind of passive income weighted on contributions and how well the platform is doing (maybe non-profit structure) but I don't know, that's beyond my imagination.

I have no skin in the game, I can barely keep my life together, I wouldn't be able to do it. I'm just wondering if you personally like/dislike or have thoughts on if it'd be good or not. Have a cezanne I did like 15 years ago
