To be clear, on first glance this backgrounds works, which is probably the most important thing professionally, but with this particular background the problems can be more clearly seen once the viewer looks a bit more keenly.

1: the fence or the wall is a bit confusing when it comes to the feeling of depth, you could try adjusting the sizes of the fence based on it's position. also on this note, once i start looking beyond the characters the ground seems to be falling down due to the direction the outer fence is going but confusion arises due to the ground texture being the same at all distances, maybe make it smaller the greater the distance.

2: this is mostly related to the first issue, the tree isn't a problem on it's own, but the fence again gives a feeling of much greater distance than the tree, i believe this issue can be fixed by either making the tree smaller or the fence larger.

3: this is an issue of texturing, same things could be applied here as with the ground textures, making the texture smaller and less detailed as the distance increases.

4: as it stands these small bright lines appear as consequences of using a quick selection tool, either emphasizing them a bit more or removing them completely would make this section more pleasing

5: the texture on the tree just needs a but more work, seeing brush strokes like those feels rushed, in contrast to this the lone bush that overlaps the river is pretty cool

I believe a lot of these points could be completely negated simply by making the ground texture give the illusion of distance more clearly, which can be done by adjusting size of the texture as the distance increases and the level of detail on the ground (for example adding some simple grass blades or small stones and making them less frequent and smaller the further the view goes)

TL;DR
when drawing background objects, make them compliment one another in order to show distance and perspective more clearly
