I saw this shit all the time on Deviantart back in the day, and to be honest I was exactly the same. I was always afraid some shit weasel would come and claim my work as theirs even though my art was complete ass and no one would ever want to steal it.

Nowadays I just don't fucking care. I've been on the internet long enough to know how easy it is to edit out watermarks and signatures, and that there will always, ALWAYS, be someone who is willing to steal (and will) the work of others. That's just how things are.

It's a natural human mindset to not want what you worked hard on and poured yourself into to be stolen from you. Not even I want that, but at the end of the day, I don't need another damn thing to worry about it, so I stopped caring. I figure a lot of people who have been posting their shit online for a while have also stopped caring, but I still see popular artists fearful of it, so who knows. I think it just depends on the person, but you definitely see it more in young new artists.

No wonder there seems to be only a few other chads in this place

How to deal with extreme envy and jealousy of other artists? It's gotten to the point where I make multiple dummy accounts to spam bigger artists with hate messages.
