very insightful
you are bouncing around between facial features a lot
not that there should be a strict order - i mean it looks like you do a lot of work on one feature while "ignoring" the rest, then you move onto a different part and work on that while "ignoring" the rest.
it is difficult to put into words.
for example even though you did a good job at establishing the overall form of the head and its proportions, you did not draw the eyebrows until the very end. sure their position is mostly settled due to your work in getting the proportions and the forehead + eye are right - but just making a pair of simple brush strokes *earlier* in the process will help you in positioning other features.
another example is the nose, once you start working on it, you do almost all of the work on it in one go. whereas if you indicate its position and very rough form early on, it will be there to guide you on the rest of the features, waiting patiently until you pay attention to it and finish it fully.
expressed in terms of computer science, your workflow is depth-first, while i personally think breadth-first is better.
you dont build a house by erecting one wall, insulating it, painting it, installing its plumbing, hanging up pictures only to then start working on the second wall from scratch, pouring concrete.
you dont cook by making all parts of a dish after the other, you cook them more-or-less simultaneously.
i cant explain it well, and this is issue is not 100% objective, and additionally it might be too much burden on you at the moment - thinking not only about your subject but also about the very process by which you draw in a meta way.
just, try to pay attention how far into details you go on any part of the picture before switching to another part. awareness itself has little chance of being bad advice, at least i can package it that way.
anyways, good job anon
