It's more useful to imagine it as a rotating 3d object than using guidelines

I also really like this desu, would love to draw like that without tracing shit

at this point I really can't get the head proportions right without tracing the head shape. once I have the head shape and a dot for the nose, I can then draw in the eyes and mouth and hair by myself, but if I don't trace the head I end up with something disfigured af

it sucks

I'm using pic related to trace the head shape

it works very well but it's also restrictive in the sense that it's just one type of head and there are more, like the anon I mentioned above whose heads are differently shaped and more mature looking and I like them but I can't achieve it cuz I'm only using this crutch template

Hopefully at some point I'll be able to draw without this crutch, but right now, if I don't trace and try to freehand, I just have to luck into the correct face shape, it happens once in every five drawings or so. huge waste of time

drawing's great, head is good, expression super cute. I like it a lot, it's my fav drawing posted in this thread so far. good job anon

nice background work, I like the depressed expression it has, but I feel the face could be more harmoniously shaped, the mouth feels flat

this anime looks disgusting

>>6676659
top half looks good, face is very good, love me some armpits. bottom half is awful. fix the legs, they're too thin and facing wrong way

impressive for just a pen

love her expression and eyes. the hair follows the jawline a bit too closely i think, it'd hang down a bit. and too much of her back is visible, looks a bit hunchbacked, either move the shoulder back or erase the hump

just trace pic related like me, you'll be set

mental issue. let go of perfectionism, focus on the important lines that have to be nailed (jaw, iris, mouth) and accept imperfect lines on all other stuff.
