Is it a good idea to learn oil pastels as a /beg/? As a low effort, fun thing. I like that they are convenient and there is a limited color selection, and it seems like even the way the medium behaves is limited.

The con is that there aren't much resources other than youtube videos and maybe books I can find, but I figure I should mostly treat them like soft pastels. Any good resource would be appreciated.
