this pretty much. Better to buy a bunch of cheap shit to spearment on and then find what you like and how different types of brushes play and stuff and then you can start scaling up to better quality brushes from there.

Plus it's fun to manically ruin brushes sometimes and it's better to do that to a cheap one.

idk I see it more like production history? The whole fun part of filming everything and whatever is you can go back and do a play by play of where it all went wrong and so on.

And idk I just like the idea of having paintings all tied together with each other's paint and stuff. Appeals to my autism or something.

It didn't really. And I've pretty much stopped painting on canvas that wasn't hit with gesso and shit first.

The one thing that I do like though is leaving the teeth unpainted with blank canvas there. I think it's a nice meta maybe to still be able to see the canvas. A lot of people say uncanny about my paintings and the exposed teeth canvas I think definitely effects that for a lot of them. Like >>3574233 and >>3574251 >>3574302 >>3574309 >>3574330 >>3574360

I dont really think there's any practical or technical value in doing it. Just an aesthetic thing I reckon. I was glad I left the eye on pic related blank canvas. Kind of seems fitting for Cruise, who kind of comes off like a dead-eyed manic sociopath so having the canvas be "blank" for his eyes made me feel like a smart boy.
