>Don't contradict yourself.
There is no contradiction if you understand the diference. I offered a theory.

Related image image are poses he drew in 2014, and he kept drawing them ever since pretty consistently. Looks like gesture to me. + >>4524344

>But he is not very talented,

You jump straight to conclusion? Very brave. If he is not talented, then certainly no one here is. He is pretty talented and his earliest stuff from academy is pretty decent, as i've shown. >>4527422

I dont know if he used 3d model or didnt. This is not a reason to conclude he needs it. He didn't use any of that for that sculpture, and for poses from 2014 all of them have process videos. He can nail it from reference, that is a fact.

> Any decent artist can do what he did here.

yes but they arent ilya and they dont have his style, which is what was needed.

>The main point is, his popularity got him here. Not skill

but his skill and talent got him his popularity, and ofcourse the right choice of subject matter.

>He did not animate for this show

moot point? He drew more than a pretty girl, so you are objectively wrong again. You'd be able to say something reasonable if ya'll didnt tryhard to hate on him.

>ILYA DIRECTED

once again someone doesnt understand production chain. Director gave him task. There are all sort of directors in anime production - episode director, animatin director, chief animation director, storyboarder (important) AND DIRECTOR FOR WHOLE PROJECT WHO CALLS THE SHOTS

so it doesnt mean it couldve been literally anything.
