also say what you want about me, it took me 8 years to learn how to measure, but I've developed plenty of aesthetic skills in that time, I've learned color, line, value, composition, and I'm still developing those now, but don't think just because you can measure and freehand as well as me that we are equals as artists. You are almost hopelessly behind when it comes to all of the other artistic skills required to be a good artist.


But hey at least you can freehand measurements. Big deal. So can I. If you find the other paramountedly more important aspects of art boring, and don't want to cultivate them, then why are you on this board? To tell other anons that you can measure things? Who cares?


Most of what /ic/ cares about is intangible, finding a style, etc. We aren't impressed by your abilities because the people who are here who can't measure as well as you or I are busy developing other skills.


You made the mistake of thinking there's less to art than making art. It's not a competition to see who can copy what they're looking at the best, there's much much more to it than that.


You don't even experiment in other media, you just copy things with a pencil and try to make everyone else feel bad for not being as rudimentarily uninteresting as you. We all have ambitions much larger than what you think we care about.
