Antidepressants can sometimes lead to the person using them to commit suicide, among hundreds of other side-effects. I can point to any given medicine and show you that there are people who have been killed, maimed, or gone through agony either directly or indirectly because of the medicine. I can show you hundreds of people who have been maimed during routine plastic surgery. I'm quite sure that even small things like appendicitis surgery has killed people.
Every kind of medicine can be dangerous. So why exactly is it that you take issue with trans medicine? I have never in my life seen anyone on any board spam and screech about antidepressants, or latex gloves, or the risks of rhinoplasty, or to make sure that your zoloft dosage meets the FDA recommendations. If you're so worried about medical treatment and tech being safe and up to date then why not focus your attention on the opiod crisis; How about ADHD overdiagnosis and overmedication; How about the flaws in the medical device approval system; The absolutely atrocious state of end-of-life medical care; The current drought of affordable and competent mental health professionals? All of these things affect infinitely more people than the fraction of a fraction that is trans people who get bottom surgery. We're talking about 1 percent of the population being trans in the first place, and then of people who are trans and have enough money to undergo surgery only 1 in 4 actually do so, and then not all of people who have surgery have bottom surgery, and then you have to consider that its mainly trans women who are having these issues, so you've now slashed the sample size by anywhere between 30-50%.
By raw numbers you're comparing a total group of ~3,250 total people receiving bottom surgery (not adjusting for MTF vs FTM population) vs 25 Million who have been taking SSRI's for 2 or more years

If someone is googling "how do i lrn how 2 draw" it can generally be safely assumed that they want to learn how to draw things in a realistic manner (as in how they perceive things). Nobody cares about the metaphysics of how eyes work or whether or not matter is real or just an illusion or whether or not the bread I ate this morning was actually simulated.
