Jesus Christ. That didn't photograph well at all. The whole thing was drawn with a H2, so that's probably why.

Anyway, /ic/, I am a former government bureaucratic who is being slowly killed by desk jobs and paperwork. My goal is to be a tattoo artist. I am a complete novice at drawing, and this shit is fucking hard as shit. Took a little "personal enrichment" class at my local community college months ago, then never practiced after that. This is my first time picking up a pencil again in months, and I suck. As stylized as most tattoos are, I've thought maybe I don't need to get gud at drawing realistically from life, but deep down, I know that's just lying to myself. Even American Traditional requires realistic proportions and shading and shit, and with the popularity of high quality black and gray, it wouldn't make sense to limit myself stylistically.

Pic is where I'd like to be someday. Chicano style ink is really appealing to me.
