Anyone have guides on lineart/inking? I only have this but i feel like this wasn't enough

>Really like the upper body to this one, the form's graceful and the exaggeration of the nose and ears make her look even more mousy. The hands and feet seem oversimplified though, especially when set so close to the amazing details of the blouse (shroud?)'s lacework.

Ah thank you so much! I got pretty lazy with the hands and feet orz will reference next time

>It feels like crystal princess comes up a lot doesn't it? Amazing job conveying softness and hardness, and the bowties add character. Colors seem dark and value variation couldn't hurt in terms of adding more brights/lights, but otherwise everything is lovely. I especially like the unique take on her hair.

Aha the hair was tricky for me so I just lazily copied the given design somewhat orz.I'll take what you said into account and mess around with it some more~

>Yeah don't worry about breaking any rules or whatever, unless you're getting paid you should always be drawing for 'you' one way or the other.
>Interesting design, I especially like the cubic earrings. I feel like there ought to be a little bit more pelvis separating the legs from one another. You might consider changing the legs a bit to better accentuate a human form too. Think of like, that planar "Asaro Head". Keep it up!

Thanks you so much~ Will mess around with the legs

I think you should mess around with the line weight. It'd probably be annoying to fix em now though so maybe just keep it in mind for later kek. The bit about thinning lines where the light source is coming from I think would make it look better. Especially on her lower half you got the lines thicker where the light is hitting, maybe try swapping it up

It's looking pretty nice so far though! Nice job~

Have you tried playing with your line quality? Your lines are pretty uniform and a little push might help with those forms.
The image you posted is most flat at the face(eyes) and joints. Try studying how the anatomy overlaps.

Or maybe you're just burnt out on anatomy studies.

Truth be told, it's going to take you hours of experimenting and chewing up and digesting what other people do until you get to a point where you're comfortable with your own drawing workflow (brushes, etc.)

There's some yeah no shit rules like in the stuff I'm about to post but it's mostly your personal journey

Inking triggers me. I just can't ever get it right. The more I try to get it right the longer I take. I could end up inking a single naked figure for 6 hours. If I try to do it faster, it ends up looking less dynamic than the sketch.

Then after hours and hours of polishing the line art, I end up deleting most of it for the painting. What's the point then?

I hate everything, forever.

Studying and practicing to build up your own intuition, where to make the line thin, where to make it thick, where to well the ink for dark spots, etc.

This helped me a lot and until someone comes up with something better I'll parrot it until the end of time
