Screenless. Just a 3x4 inch little thing. It was an Intuos beforehand, but I lost the pen and my temporary tablet turned into my "fuck it, this is good enough."

There's a hard cap on how useful a larger screenless is, because the major flaw of screenless is that making nice, longer clean lines is a crap shoot of guesswork. Like a mouse, you course correct as you head in the vague direction, compared to the a to b, straight or curved precise as fuck traditional lines you can make. I like my freehand draftsmanship.

But at the same time I don't want to invest in a screen tablet without at least using one first. Worried it'll have split-second lag that'll make it intensely unsatisfying to draw on. Least with a screenless you can tape paper over it and get a nice texture to draw one. And just use the ruler tools or spam undo to get nice longer linework or paint strokes. Detailing and sketching is easy as fuck either way.
