If you've got a compelling story and fun characters, bad art becomes endearing and charming.
If your writing is shit, the whole thing is just dead and even great art won't save it.

I understand and respect the spirit of engaging with and appreciating works that are not technically competent for what they do well, but Rousseau himself is garbage and people who attempt to promote his mistakes as some kind of style deserve to be put against the wall.

his hand looks like a nutsack.
And his fingers look like ryukishi07 drew them.
Maybe you should try drawing blobs over his mouth and see which parts look the most attractive because i think his mouth is the weirdest part.
plus his face is wide, thats generally pretty ugly.
