How can I make sure my comic doesn’t catch the label of a ‘western’ or ‘faux’ manga? I’ve always had a deep seated appreciation for the versatility of expression that mangaka can capture in just black and white, but I want my own work to stand on its own merits as well without being seen as imitating (might seem counterproductive to post itt but it’s the closest thread for sharing this work of mine)
