Yeah anon, that's fair I guess. I've progressed slow over the last 9 years (haven't been consistent), but I've made progress nonetheless.

This is from 2020 and I think it's a somewhat similar quality level to my recent stuff. I still think I'm a bit better now, but I like looking back at where I started.

Really neat! The mantis doesn't really seem grounded on the leaf. Make sure to include the ambient occlusion between the lil feet and the leaf.

Very nice. I think the leg and the inside of the mouth are kinda hard to read at a glance, those areas may need more contrast. Making the external contours a little (or a lot) thicker might also help the silhouette stand out.
