Is doing Color Studies as a beginner unproductive?

Aguri's guide puts color studies relatively early on. But I heard anons on ic say we should stay away from rendering for a long time, and to learn to draw first.

What's the verdict?

I'm following pic related with the intent of getting enough perspective/anatomy knowledge to get accepted to FZD this May. From there I figure I'd adopt their plan and work their course load for the year, try to get hired, and continue learning as I grow as a junior. Thoughts?

Aguri's guide is this one. I don't know who they are or what credentials they have.
I googled "Dvash's /pa/" and it led me to something I can only guess is Russian 4chan (?) and its equivalent of the /ic/ board.

Pic related seems to imply Design with color and light with Nathan Fowkes is a good first course on color but I couldn't find it, is CGMA Art of color and light a good alternative? Does it cover more or less the same stuff at the same level? I'm a /beg/

That's certainly why he's asking, retard.

drawabox comes to mind. Pretty useless for figure drawing, but nothing else comes to mind that does fundies as well, with concrete assignments and schedules. General timetables are posted sometimes on /ic/, but not sure how much help that is, pic related.

Let's have a thread for some drawing tunes. What are you listening to right now? Anything help you focus? Is listening to music while drawing retarded?

Is it good? I live in extreme poverty and I want to get good as fast as possible but without resorting to furry porn or other trash.

If I had to get gud fast... and this question is asked several times a week on this board... and not in the Questions General thread, of course not... how would I do it?

You should contact your local Mortuary services in advance. Or ask in the Questions General thread. Your choice.

Long term, to draw the weird shit I think and dream about. I love Ancient Egyptian shit and ancient civilizations, I want to draw stuff related to that.
I used to write but more people are willing to look at a picture than read a whole book
I also program so maybe design an interactive graphic novel of sorts.

Currently going through pic related, though swapping out Erik Olson's course with Vandruff's one on perspective.
