as you get better at drawing, you start to hate your own work, and any style you have enough skill to replicate starts to look juvenile by proxy. Anime is very low level art, and people reach the skill level of doing typical anime shit quickly, so it becomes easy to hate. Lots of people who hate anime will style appreciate anime artists with high technical skill.
