Thank you, I drew Igor, I don't think this helped me disassociate since all I could think of was "This is a finger" or "This is his face I am working on". I am a bit confused on the next part. It says to check out "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain" or "Keys to Drawing", then shows a picture from Loomis' "Fun with a Pencil". What do you recommend?

Any advice for what to use for drawing? Most of these books open up about physically drawing things but I'd rather just keep using my Surface Book. Do you think I should switch over to physically drawing or does it not matter as much?

Thanks

Well speaking of "Does this drawing look 3D", I have seen artist use a 3d model and then draw/trace/whatever over it. Would this be a good way to grasp what makes features seem three dimensional? Or would it be bad to use them from the start?
Also if anyone could suggest a program to draw with that would be great. I am currently just using aggie
