Working my way through Keys to Drawing. This was exercise 3-A, which was a standing figure to help with proportions, but I got pretty distracted with shading. I've never even attempted shading before, so I know it's pretty shit-tier.

How are the proportions? And I'd appreciate any tips for shading, since I was pretty much going by trial and error until it looked somewhat acceptable.
