I am never of those who say pyw, after all a viewer has its own sets of rules and judgements, different from those of an artist or a “picture maker”, but I’d rather say “post your favorites”.
What I have posted is a landscape by Henri Epstein, a mid-range 1930s-1940s painter of the Modern Paris school. His prices today are roughly around 5k-15k, not the highest of the market, not the most sought after, but it belongs to a type of art that some collectors and viewers can like.
The values are not so random since all the colors are responding to each other - similarly to Matisse but without Matisse’s avant-gardism.
Pic related is the kind of art I absolutely dig in, Belle Epoque French art.
