Take in mind 600 dpi for B&W and 350 dpi for color are technically just a starting point, but the vast majority of mangaka choose to stay at that minimum, since it makes drawing far more manageable on drawing apps, not to mention the relatively small file sizes.

Not to mention most japanese still work on shitty laptops.
