honestly, the general idea i'm getting is that you probably are extremely particular about placing features (and their proportions) even though you're not entirely certain why you're doing so.

again, have a look at the examples i posted above - do you have any complaint about the proportions and placements being used there? if yes, why? if no, also why? contrast that with what you're drawing as well as your current sensibilities with regards to what is 'correct' to your eyes. if there's a disconnect, figure out what is going on.
