Been 3 weeks since I started drawing. Spent around 45 mins on this.

I know I forgot to tilt the head to the left.

Any feedback?

Also, how can I apply shadowing when im working with a pencil? In this case for example, I have been drawing horizontally. Swinging my pen left and right, however the shadow was getting thicker from right left. If I started drawing vertically, up and down, then the drawing just doesn't look right. At the other parts its horizontal strikes, at some parts its vertical strikes. Any tips on this?
