Wow someone who actually offers a solution instead of stating the obvious, and a good one at that.

Not everyone wants to draw porn here. How about a /mech/ general, for the mech fags out there, or a /comics/ general. It can be as specific as possible and if nobody shows any interest for it, then it can be easily discarded.

It's way better like this because as you said, it gives opportunity for others who are interested in a specific subject of art/illustration to mingle with each other and create lasting friendships. A discord filled with /ic/fags may be a common ground if you browse this board but for someone like me who wants to specialise in comics and sci-fi stuff, I don't want to intermingle with guys who draw tits and ass and complain about why nobody is liking their shit.
