1. What are you talking about? What secret lists? What pros? What industry - all of them? This sounds like some naive, delusional & paranoid /ic/ folk tale.
2. If you have half a brain and an internet connection you can also build a "list of actual known relevant companies around" all by yourself. Though that might be a little too much effort for you. Working is hard, ya know?
3. If there's some legendary magic list that gives you the contact info of the best, high-value clients that are relevant to you, what are you supposed to do with it? You reach out and share your portfolio with them in order to be considered for upcoming freelance projects - though you just tried to act like this is a not a real thing people do. Nice going.

Honest question to those who entered, or wish they had:

What's the appeal of winning this to you? The 4chan pass? The exposure? Bragging rights? To sort of 'give back' to 4chan?

You don't get paid, and to expect any real, significant exposure is laughable, as is thinking you can somehow include this in your portfolio. You will get absolutely nothing of value in return that you can use. Most design contests usually offer something of value - a prize package of goodies, money, etc. - but this contest offers virtually nothing. So why do it?

Networking =/= marketing

To be a successful web comic artist, you need to be good at marketing your comic to a large amount of people.
To be a successful freelance artist, you need to be good at networking with a smaller number of targeted clientele & decision makers (art / creative directors, etc.)

Overall I'd say no, for the exact same reasons as >>3556646 (with thorough reasons given here >>3557674 ) .

You've really got to put yourself in other peoples shoes - who is this design for? Do people really want to buy something like this for their shirts, phone cases, etc. and wear it in public? Some might, but it has a very narrow appeal. As stated here >>3557674 - Cutesy stuff is always popular, but manga less so, and erotic even less. This is definitely an erotic design, even though there's no explicit nudity.

The issue with erotic work is that it's just weird to wear on a shirt. The type of person who would have erotic work on a shirt just has a profound lack of self awareness, similar to pic related. It's weird, and not in a quirky, hip & funny way but in a way that makes others uncomfortable. There's not really a passive market for this type of work on sites like Redbubble.

Please remember that this is just an opinion and that I could be wrong, though this is my best assessment based on many years of experience.
