Modernists were very knowledgeable of the old ways a lot of them still had those habits ingrained in their art. Post modernists don't really know anything except that they want to be more flashy than modernists, they don't care about being dumb as rocks when it comes to art theories, they just want to get an A for effort.

Would someone such well studied on architectural history design something so gaudy and ill-proportioned? He is just acknowledging something from the past with no understanding whatsoever as to what made the original sources beautiful. This is postmodernism.

You can see this stuff with your own eyes and it's contrary to what the art books will try to tell you.
