I fucking hate Sonic. He's everything that was wrong with the 90's. I even hated him back then even though I was a kid for most of it. Fucking edgy bullshit design and mediocre gameplay. It's insane to me hat he's still a thing. Jesus fucking christ!

Yeah man. I kind of agree with you. I think you should discuss your technical aspects with people who actually know something about that shit. I don't- I like sculpting stuff though...

However if some 3D artist came here with their elaborate 3D art asking for advice on composition, anatomy and lighting I'd probably be able to give them some pointers from a general artist point of view. It just goes back to the same fundamentals we're talking about here every day.

It'd be ~10 times more interesting than one of these posts that say: "Hey, I've never been a real artist or anything but here's my new art :))" and it's a high school-level drawing of a Dragon Ball character...

Any ways this whole sphere of digital art is getting broader and broader. If you want to work in a game company or advertisement, you better good or know some 3D or YOU GOTTA GO FAST LIKE SANIC!

I totally agree with you. I was mostly talking about art fundementals and anatomy. I actually complimented his original design, composition and idea. I hope I wasn't unclear about that stuff. I definitely didn't try to make a "final image". I hope the OP doesn't think that that was my intention either.

Don't ask for critique if you can't take it. You should be really thankful that somebody would take the time to analyse your amateur drawing and give you proper feedback. Be honest with yourself. Are you really complaining because you were expecting a more positive crit or because of the other anon used swear words? Either way, you're clearly in the wrong here. There was literally NOTHING that I could point to in the original crit that should offend you in any way.

Anyways. You're the "emotional" one. You're the one acting like an entitled 15 yo. Go to the beginner thread and stop being a namefag. It hurts my eyes to read your comments.

Agreed. It's also crazy how easy getting better seems in the beginning. I started doing this crap seriously when I was ~24 and I got so much better in 2 years. I thought I'd be amazing in another 2 years but nahh. After that it's been super hard to level up. I learned 3D and got a job but my basic drawing skills are still approximately at that same level. You also tend to get a lot more responsibilities when you get older even if you don't get kids or what ever. You don't want to be that 29yo. dude who's living on welfare when all of your friends have "real jobs" but you just might end up here if you don't devote EVERYTHING to your craft right now...

I dunno man. I don't want to crit beginners unless there's a single flaw that can be pointed out quickly or if there are things that can be fixed in an over painting in <10 minutes. Only thing I could say to a lot of the people here is "draw more", "Study more anatomy" or "Shut up and read the fucking sticky" etc.
