New fag going through Loomis right now. Although my end goal is to just be really good all around I'm really craving to draw OC's for anime/manga I watch/read. Should I drop Loomis for now and just grind references over and over again or is Loomis essential for this style?

Also, is there any direct order I should follow after Loomis? The sticky just links dozens of books.

By basics do you mean getting a good foundation of most of the stuff in the sticky(https://hubpages.com/art/how-to-draw-learn)) then just using anime art styles im fond of as reference?
>Also post on some anime general
I'll keep that in mind for future reference

I don't think it should take me a couple years to draw like pic related. Don't get me wrong, I'm a complete fucking noob and pic related is incredibly clean, but I plan on taking this as seriously as I can to get as good as possible!

Any links/books would be greatly appreciated too.
