How far are you supposed to be in terms of skills when you start a book like vilppus drawing manual, and when you do it, how often/long should you do the exercises in there? I am a person that thinks that he got the purpose and meaning of something, when in reality I just want to get to the next part of the book because I'm bored.

I posted some truly horrifying /beg/ shit here over the last 2 months, unironically being proud of what I have created. And looking back at my work I cringe at what I have drawn, how could I think what I posted was ok to post? I think I lack discipline and need to slow down, but I don't know how to. I rush literally everything.
